G'day all
I'm interested in power windows for the bendy, I've looked on here and there are a few mentions of kits or ideas. I'm wondering who's actually fitted a kit, was it an off the shelf kit or a custom job
Thank you

Dano bought a kit, I modified ba falcon mechanisms to suit my van. I'm sure there are others around aswell

Thanks Matte, could you please let me know what was involved, how has it worked, any real problems with this set up
Thank you, any info is appreciated

I modified some jap ones, wouldn't do it again, instead would use the hotrod kits available. Only thing you have to check is the length of travel if you want the window right down

Thanks Busy, I was just watching YouTube and the was a video showing the installation of what I think is a hot rod kits, looked very basic. Apparently with this kit the only thing that really changes is, you remove you winder handle, then replace with a donut shaped motor and secure in place
With the donut motor you have to match the spline of the winder
These kits are on eBay for under $100
I might give it a try, let you all know

I remember those kits back in the 80's
Was the video English or American ? If American you might not be able to get the right adapter

Off top of my head I can't say 100% but it'll be more than likely it was, motor made in Japan but not sure about rest of the kit.
It claims to fit any vehicle with 12v and 2 doors..... I'll see if the bed likes it or not up to her standards

I was at a Motorex in Sydney and was talking to a supplier that said different glass require different mechanisms.
Flat glass needs hot rod lifter.

Curved glass you can get away with the Chinese winders.

Don't forget about what size amp Motors are in these, Bedford windows are big, I would say a least a 30 - 40 amp would be required for long life...

The hot rod kits are very good, best to get ones with complete mechanisms rather than motors to use your mechanism. Some kits are superior to others, however I'm sure most would be suitable.
I only modified the ba falcon ones as I had them here. I had to straighten the runners as they were designed for curved glass, then fabricate mounts to attach the mechanism to the glass. If I did it again, I'd certainly consider a kit.
The windows work well. I have one touch up and down kits installed so that I only have to press the button to operate rather than hold it down. Obviously this adds to the kit total tho

The one I bought on eBay was similar to the second one that Vanwolf put a link up for
Hopefully it'll be ok, only time will tell i spose
Thanks for all the input, much appreciated
