Title: Bedford factory paint colours

Over the years a few people have asked if anyone knows the paint codes/colours.
I stumbled upon these names but isn't a complete list, there is at least a baby blue missing

Turnpike red
Turnpike yellow
Glacier white
Woodsman green
Coast Ivory

If anyone knows any other factory colours and/or paint codes for these let me know and I'll add it to this list

The best range of colours was offered in the Dormobile range;

Dover White
Spring Yellow
Spanish Gold
Solar Orange
Calypso Red
Deauville Blue
Channel Blue
Freeway Green
Romany Brown
Black

Mine is 439-04785 and is a standard industry colour, on everything from International Harvesters to Bedford Trucks, via post boxes! Named (by my paint supplier) as Nuffield Red- but mine is a 4 m tray for an Aust Post contract. Hope this helps.

im going to say that my van is solar orange, but I certainly can't work out what 439-15339 is from the above chart ? :)

The list i first posted was from the oz bedford brochure

Just a note on the post codes, not sure about in OZ but in NZ they don't have conversions for them as they were done in different weights; imperial vs metric

3GB - Signal green
4BL - Cargo blue
4YW - Cargo yellow
5WH - Cargo white
5YB - Signal yellow
6GN - Cargo green
7GN - Cargo chartreaux
7YB - Bedford beige
8RD - Bright red
9RD - Cargo red
9XB - Cargo grey

mine an 84 nz assembled colour is Hussar Blue
