Title: NZ Steel & Wheels Waiuku
Post by: Gordon on May 10, 2015, 02:49:13 PM
Cruised out to Steel & Wheels in Waiuku earlier today and hooked up with Ray and Stu. Plenty to see and do and the weather was pretty good too. Caught up with a few other Bedford owners who stopped by for a yarn.

Looking good Gordon. Good to see Stu's van back on the road. Hope to catch up sometime soon.

Yep, it was a good day out Garry, so we plan to make it an annual event. I'm about to take my van off the road for a few weekends to replace my existing TH350 3 speed with a TH700R 4 speed box. I've also picked up a slight radiator leak over the summer so need to get that sorted too.

Gordon, are you sure you want to do that, a TH700R you gain a O/D but a second hand box may have a few thousands k's on it... and you need to shift kit it, no way around it., yours seem to drive so well with the TH350 in it. Also did the TH350 run off a TV Cable, because The TH700R4 does and can be a little hard to set just right.

Your right Bas, my existing TH350 is really well set up, but I'm keen to give the 4 speed a go. Gives me something to play around with in the winter.
