Hi, can anybody help?
My booster has started to leak quite badly, and think is is time for a change over or a recondition.
Have standard bedford late model master which has been resleeved and works great so don't want to change that, just need a new booster.
Does the LJ torana booster fit Bedford master? Any other options?
Been searching the forum for info but can only find stuff for changing booster and master.
Cheers

Drums all round. Just looking for a straight swap without too much moding

What's actually leaking out, fluid or air ?
-
It's leaking air, was hissing air when ever applying the brakes and would stop if I would put my foot hard down. Now it is making the hissing sound when the brakes are not applied as well. Brakes still feel the same but it is making my revs go high and inconsistent with the leaking vacuum.

If you have a constant hissing air leak check the condition of your brake booster vacuum hose and connections, cheap enough to simply replace it

I have just had my brake booster overhauled at the local brake repairer no problem, I have an original 74 Bedford CF.

Cheers for the advice. Vacuum hose and connections are all in good condition. Have a good brake place which have helped me out in the past and will visit when have the time, but when I call them said may run into problems with reconditioning the old booster so would be good to know any other options for just the booster.

Ok so looks like reconditioning the booster is no problem, dropped it off and was finished that day.
This is a good reference for brake part numbers which I have used a bit, nothing for boosters but has everything else. Not sure if I have posted it before but will do again. http://www.atap.com.au/documents/HYD08.pdf
