ell its been a while since I posted any pics of what I have been up to , with the changing of the 253 to a nice rebuilt 308 with bolt on injection , new fuel tank , floor and engine cover mods ::)
-
Looking great John!!
-
plenty of work going on there!
whats the go with the new engine cover, something different between the two motors or just time for an upgrade ?
-
the floor needed a bit of fixing from the last time it was cut so this way is much stronger as all the bracing had been cut out
-
yeah certainly looks nice and strong with the channels that the cover fits into there!
-
a few more pics of the work being done with reinforcing of under the floor as well 8)
-
Cool,
Lookin good
-
love the engine cover concept, well done.....awesome!
-
doing a great job mate i think i need to tidy my floor a bit wish i had a hoist that would make life so so much easier
-
Just framing my engine cover at the moment.
-
well that's certainly looking pretty strong :)
im interested to know, the transmission dipstick tube, how long is it ? I would love one that reaches to the front of the firewall!
-
I didn't think of extending dipstick to firewall, that would be cool.
NICE work John, would love to have a car hoist but was to scared to mention it to the wife when extending the shed.
-
im very lucky as my neighbour is a car nut and has a hoist 8) as far as getting a longer transmission dip stick there are plenty of flexible ones that mount on the firewall I went with the original in the end
the only problem with the engine cover is its akward to get out but it dosnt need to come off to often ;D
cover is double lined with dyno mat [inside and out with carpet over the top] cuts out heaps of sound and heat 8)
-
yeah I am in the same boat, cover will come out reasonably easy but if just to check oil levels a firewall mounted one out be better :) what brand is it or where did you get it ?
-
lokar do them I think there are several others
fitted my new headlights and spotties today
-
new lights are fantastic very bright and very happy
ford nine inch diff is going in next week , I have all the stuff for my windows so when my health permits ill be into that modification and few other mods in the next week or so ::)
lucky I have a couple of good neighbours willing and able to a few things for me while im off work
-
Great work john, lights certainly are brighter
hope youre back on your feet in no time
