Title: Brake Reservoir - Cap
Post by: Jock on January 29, 2009, 09:48:42 AM
Looking for a plastic cap for my brake fluid reservoir.
Topped the fluid up then left the cap sitting on the radiator - no more cap! :D

If anyone has a spare please send me a message or reply to this post.
My van is a 1978 LWB but I'm pretty sure they are the same on most models.

Also looking for a supplier for a cup/seal kit for my brake slave cylinders, anyone know
where I can get these?

Thanks guys!

Jock

just looked at my master cyl cap, big hey.

most brake places (especially the older ones) have good stock ad have something to fit. the older places usually owner operator seem to have a better knowledge and can tell what the seals are out of without seeing the complete master cyl.

surely another model of car has used the same cap, alot of cars used to have interchangable caps prob cost cutting. but personally i dont know who.

JD any GOOD brake repair shop should be able supply wheel cylinders or be able to have them re-sleeved. If re-sleeving make sure they use stainless steel.

After all that I was cleaning the van yesterday and found the reservoir cap wedged between some hoses
and the grill - it sat there for a couple hundred k's! :D
