Hey guys, i was contacted this morning by a member regarding my disc brake conversion, so thought i would share my build pics with the group. The rear brakes are EA Falcon and front are HQ. Very simple conversion. So to get these pics i had to sort through over 10,000 pics i have taken of my van from the day i got it to now.

I should say that when the new disc are on the back, i had to go up in wheel size from 14" to a 15" wheel to get clearence in the back of the wheel.

i do have some more pics, so give me a chance to dig them out and i will post some more, any Qs. and i will try to answer them for you.

Great stuff George, keep em coming - i'm a real 'picture' man - means so much more than seeing it than being told how to do it!

Just in case you were wondering about the shiny rotar and yucky ford stuff, well b4 spending big dollars on new EA gear we grabbed a set of brakes from the wreckers for $40, and once we saw it was going to work then we bought new gear off the shelf. As for the brake lines, we ran all new gear just to be on the safe side, and refurbished the master cylinder so that it was all clean and new from front rear.
I used my plasma cutter to cut the spacer out of the drum, makes quick accurate work of a drum, i should have a pic of it, will post it.
Its funny, walk into ( roll in ) ;) ;) ;D to auto place and ask for the EA gear and they ask you year and stuff and i tell them its for a 75 bedford, and they dont know what to say. But its great to be able to buy new gear for a beddy off the shelf.

I have the same feeling about fitting the commodore brakes, its all stuff you can still buy new which is a bonus for an old car :P

Hey Marishka, the engine mounts are for the VP V6 motor. I will post some pics for you.
Ok guys after hours of looking i finally found the pics i wanted showing how i got the spacers for the rear disc brakes. Hope this answers most of your Qs Mezz.

hi George im looking into a dick brake rear conversion and find your tutorial very informative I have found a kit that might work rather than soursing indervidual parts http://www.sunburybrakes.com.au/prod196.htm (http://www.sunburybrakes.com.au/prod196.htm) do you think this would work ? as there are other places like "hoppers stoppers" and "castlemain rod shop" that have some good bits.
thanks again for sharing :-)
