Hi Stanley, welcome to BUGA. I noticed your van when it was for sale a while back. Similar colour to mine.
Hopefully someone on here will have a spare indicator/high beam switch they will sell.
Sometimes you can repair them, especially if the problem is only wiring. Does the horn button work?

Hi Stanley, welcome to Buga.
A Land Rover Series 3 indicator stalk is an exact match. All you need to do is change the plug on the wiring as the Land Rover one is different. Ebay is probably the best source. I paid 9 UK Pound for a brand new one new and an extra 8 UK Pound for postage.

If you cant sorce one try leyland mini ones,
They are the same

ok awesome thanks guys, there is a guy in Melbourne who said he can possibly get a spare one for around $250, is that the going rate? otherwise I ll look into getting another one that will match. the horn works on my one as it is, the only thing that is wrong with it is that, it slips out of place when using high beams or indicating left, so it needs to be held in place. I suspect due to wear. other than that everything on the arm works.

Hey Stanley, $250 must be a typo surely. Did you mean $25 ?
If it was me I'd rather invest in a brand new one. Its something that gets used constantly so even good second hand units will have a limited life span.

Okay, based on the symptoms that you are describing Stanley I would hazard a guess that the spring circled in red in the pic below is broken or missing. Problem is that its a sealed unit so not worth trying to repair in my opinion.

Check Bedford Manor he sells new ones
