Title: Chassi transplant
Post by: atk1 on January 13, 2009, 03:14:29 PM
Has anyone toyed with the idea putting a CF shell on a different chassi that has more benefits? Just getting ideas for my next project, hehe

If i did another project (which i have no room for) I was thinking of doing a twin cab ute CF, with tail gate and all.
will have to leave that on the "one day" list

about twenty years ago a guy i used to know had an old morris van (j2 i think) made into a twin cab ute with a fifth wheeler and using a matching van made  a gooseneck trailer.
Maybe Nigzy could do some of his funky art stuff and come up with a swb made into a twincab with a gooseneck made from a lwb. Tried drawing it but I'm certainly no artist and won't inflict my scribblings on anyone.
not sure but either or both may have been dual axle????

Hope I win Lotto!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

G'day

NSW Fire Services got 4 red dual cab 7 seater CFL trucks built. They went to auction and BHP Newcastle bought one. I drove it around the plant for 12 months and loved it. It was a fun machine.

I tried to buy it but they would not sell it. BHP had a policy that everything in the plant went for scrap no matter what the condition.
