Title: Advice needed

Ok everybody knows that I'm currently working on my bedie van, but I would like to ask the experts here about converting a camper into a horse transport van, come sleeper over head, reason why I'm asking we currently have a large specially built float for towing our big clydies around, they weigh about one ton each and the poor crewman struggles, we are just over our limit but only just, so is it possible to convert a 3 ton bedie for the job?

Graham... Is your crewman a 6cyl or 8cyl ?

Its a 3.6 six, rated at 2.5 ton towing, has no trouble on open road, sits on 100 kph easy, just struggles up steep hills, would rather a 350 in a bedi on gas, if it was all right for the job

I recon you will have no problems with a beddy
With a 350 Graham,

Graham,

just some technical info on the CF tray type you are looking at.

As you can see from my avatar I have a CF Car Carrier (It is registered as a Car Carrier here in West Aust)
It has the following details listed on the rego papers:
Tare: 1680 Agg: 3353 GCM: 3353

I think a CF will struggle to carry the load of 2 Clydies.

I have had a Chrysler Grand Voyager on the back my CF and it is very different to drive. ;D ::) :-[ :-\
Very top heavy and the brakes are really interesting with that sort of load (my guess 3800 all up)

The TK beddy truck would be a better choice as the chassis is bigger and built to carry the load.
There are quite a few of these as Removal Vans here in Aust. that come up for sale.

Just my thoughts.
