I might be up for that Truck, anyone for a Cruise Day? BBQ?
I'll PM you bud.
-
Hi Dano,
Would be great to see you there. I live in Chittering so only 15-20 min drive but the coast road and cut back into Gingin is a good drive to give van a cruise.
Further details are on the Gingin shire site for anyone interested.

Hi Dano and any others interested,
For Gingin there is no fee to show van and all that is required is to sms Luke 0409 100 626 to let him know what vehicle so he can allocate parking and vehicles to be in before 10am.

Hi John,
Definately in for next weekend and a meet at BP would be ideal. Great to see you and Rogerfied and possibly Dano if he is free plus any others. Van still needs lots of work but will be ok for weekend.
Weather looks good so hoping it might be like today which was a perfect cruising day.

looks like im going to be the new guy for the wa beddy guys so give me a yell guys
-
ok fellas I'm struggling for time at the mo, I need to change front hubs & rear axles to use my other set of rims, the current tyres are too dangerous for a cruise, it should only take me a few hrs to do but they are pretty hard to find at the mo, trying to finish a trim job before the customer fly back in, I'll let yas know!
-
Hey Matte....You gonna be able to make it to GinGin with us? :-\
-
Welcome aboard Vanpyre
-
wwaaaahhhhh :'( :'( :'( :'(
you guys get all the fun over there in WA
lots of beddys going on runs....
Enjoy your day! :D
-
Hey Truck... do you have to be at Gingin at a particular time for the display? I am just wanting to organise meeting times for anyone who is coming.
cheers..johnno
-
Hi John,
They want vehicles there by 9:30am so they can park em prior to open 10am. I was gonna leave home at 9am which will put me at Muchea about 1/4 past and only 15 min from there to Gingin.
Will be great to meet some of the Beddy crew.
Cheers Greg
-
How long do you reckon it would take us to get from Midland to Muchea comming up the great northern hwy? :-\
-
About 40 mins from Midland to Muchea if there aren't too many Oversize departing Perth. Especially ones like below hehe :D :D :D
-
Ok fellas this is what i suggest....Because we are spread out a bit i reckon that we meet truck at the BP station at Muchea at 9.00am this sunday. That way we dont run truck late to get his van into the display. So workout for yourselves what time you will have to leave home in order to get to the meeting point. If any members are running late then you can catch up with us at GinGin. ;D
-
Well gotta say the GBCD certainly exceeded expectations with many cars and classics and the one lonely Beddy that caught a lot of attention from all ages. A lot of little tackers that wanted to see Scooby Doo car while dragging mum or dad away from the Bentleys and Triumphs.
Great to meet John and Roger and have them cruise to event from Muchea. Looking forward to future meets and possible cruises. Even Tony the previous owner dropped in for a look.
I have added some pics for those interested and the rest are in my album in Gingin folder.
-
It was really good to meet you Greg and put a face to a name. ;D The weather did look a bit iffy there sometimes but it turned a little warm actually.,heaps of cars and people. ;D
-
likewise John. Weather was perfect and turn out was even better, apparently over 800 cars this year.
I left just before 4pm and it was a good cruise back with a few of the other oldies. I was very lucky though as when I got home I give timing a little tweek to eliminate a slight miss and notice one or two drops of water at bottom radiator hose when next minute bottom hose let go and split next to clamp. Looks like that radiator reno will be on the cards this week instead with all new hoses and full flush to renew cooling system.
Will get all sorted before Roger has next barbie.
-
hi guys sounds like it was a good day for you sorry i didnt get up there i was out sourcing parts for the van today
i have a question for you here in w.a theres a van club are you guys part of it or are you a bedford club in its own right either way i would definatly look at joining the fun of a club even though mine isnt licensed yet
Cheers Ian aka Vanpyre
-
Ok so luckily I had RDO Tuesday and stripped complete coolong system off 173 and give a full flush.
Wednesday picked up new 3 core radiator, water pump, thermostat, hoses and clamps. Suprised to find hoses that I thought weren't too bad and could use for spare were totally shagged also so glad I went with full change-out rather than just the hose that went after Gingin.
All ready for Rogerfied gathering.
-
Hi Ian....I can only speak for the W.A side of things , but buga is only a computer/forum based entity. We dont have a constitution or regular monthly meetings as such. But catching up and meeting new people like yourself and Greg (truck) at gatherings at Rodgers will hopefully entice a few more members to meet up more often. Even if your beddie isnt on the road just come in whatever you have. Just looking at other projects in someones workshop can keep the interest alive!!!! ;D
-
Agree entirely, John.
I am in a club and I communicate more on the forum than I do with the local club members.
-
We do have the permission, blessing, from previous club name and members ( HIGHROLLERS VAN CLUB), however the only real thing that needs to happen officially is simply someone to "Take the reins", an official committee to be formed, registered, Bank accounts - paraphernalia to be printed and fees to be paid.
ZIMPLES....
Most of the members in W.A. - BUGA are former committee members / Presidents / of said and other van clubs and councils from the Wests past, sooo anyone willing to dedicate their time and efforts will be strongly supported ....
Is it time for an official nominations? Please Nominate...
We do have enough members but simply, no one with enough time and energy ...... Are you dedicated to your vanning enough? dedicated to form and make a van club, will you show up - every run? THAT'S WHAT IT TAKES peoples....from all ...it is serious fun, but takes serious time and effort.
Cheers dano

Hey Dano..im totally with you..would totally Love to see a buga club up and running...i feel it should be an australia wide thing with meetings and runs all over the place..we get around a bit now in our beddy and would love to go on a beddy weekend club meet and cruise...i would put my hand up and help.
Just find it harder to gather the enthusiasm over here in NSW......although thru buga and face book Ray & I have meet up with some great beddy owners who are working there bugas off ;D ;D to get to the van nats...
maybe we could have a buga meeting in bathurst and see what everyone thinks ?
I met a new friend here that has a tshirt printing business and see charges $18 for a shirt! all artwork etc included...i was thinking about a common logo yet everyone can get a print of their own van on the shirt (as long as the pic is high res)
Then it would suit everyone. We have been formerly invited to join the majestic vanners as an unfinancial member...yet if we buy their shirts and jackets ..they have a holden and ford panel van on their logos?? i feel they leave out the small and large vans??
We havnt joined yet as we really want to belong to a bedford van club when we go to bathurst!
so i was going to start to put together a logo and get a few Thirst printed and show everyone here that they can get one with a pic of their own van on it so its personalized yet still shows you belong to a club?
well thats my thoughts...would love to hear others.
Im a dedicated bedford fan and would like to be part of bedford club with chapters all over this wide land!
As i say below
LOVE MY BEDDY !!! 8) 8
-
Please don't forget those of us who have a CF, but it isn't a van!
I know a few regulars here would agree. ;D ;D ;D
-
Yes ur correct Rumax ;D
there's utes and campers too...thats why I mentioned a BEDFORD club.
Sorry I may have referred to vans for the 40th Van Nationals next year in Bathurst.
A BUGA club is the go (and a personalized pic for t shirts) as well all have different beddies.
-
OHHH & i dont want to leave out our fellow BUGAs in NZ too! ;)
-
BUGA'd in NZ ?
or better yet, Bedford User Group Australasia
or even, BNW - Bedford Nuts Worldwide
-
:D :D :D :D :D :D :D
HAHAHAH yeah Bedford Nuts Worldwide !!! ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D
Hey maybe admin might change it to Australasia? that's a nice thought to include NZ.
-
On the front page on this site it has: "Welcome to BUGA the home to all things Bedford CF in Australasia."
-
Ok Kool :D I didnt notice that bit..
But theres is the line right at the top of home page has BUG Australia
Can that be change to bedford user group Australasia ?
Instead of bedford user group Australia?
Just a thought....anyway im still laughing over bedford nuts worldwide thou...you have to be a bit nutty to own a beddy LOL! ;)
-
i take offence to that wendy, i think im perfectly sane and normal lol! ;)
