Is anyone on here running a 350 Holley Carburettor on their Holden 6 cylinder motor?
If so - what results did the upgrade yield?
Some feedback on performance and economy would be good.
Cheers
Jock
A nice kit...

G'day
The word on Commodore forums is that the XF Falcon Webber carby is the go. Better performance and economy.

JD Holley carbs are one step higher than a tap! Very basic but not economical at all, they are designed for all out performance. The 350cfm is too large for a Holden 6 and will always flatspot due to the 2 large butterflys opening at the same time causing a drop in air speed. A better option is the Weber of a Ford or a 4 barrel Holley ie 465 economaster. The 465 has 4 small butterflys 2x primary and 2x secondary.

I bought a Weber at the wreckers earlier in the year and then I lost it?
I moved house and now I can't find the bugger!
Is there 2 sizes with the Weber? I read somewhere that you need the smaller one???
Is this a myth? Will any Weber from xe or xf ford do the trick?
I found the adaptor plates for the weber... Just need to know what size or type of weber
carb to use. Pretty sure its the 34 ADM model. Please confirm.

Hey Jock
I have the weber set up on my blue 202 adm34
Its a great carby easy to tune, great ecomony
Xe/xf have a different fuel miser one is needle n seed.... the other solid
I got mine running and after scouring lots of websites ...these carbys are popular with magna drivers too
found there were many different stories n successes with different jet sizes
I have the jet sizes written down somewhere ...
but i had mine rejetted and put on a dyno
it cost $150 @ a performance engine specialist in NNSW
I had to cut the floor a lil to fit new carby
12v + wire to power up electric choke

Marky,
If you could be so kind to have a look for those jet sizes I would appreciate it.
Let me know how you go.
Thanks mate.

The TD cortina's also had webber carbs. I know the 4 cylinder did anyhow, so I wouldn't be supprised if the 6 did also. And probably not just in the TD either ;)
