transfer case like what you see in 4wd's gives you a high and low ratio..

a 1984 jeep cherokee 208 transfer case bolted onto a turbo400 behind a 350 chev would be the go.
then ud have high n low, that would tow a tank up a mountain.

thing is the transfer case would only reduce down so that IF ever needed the van would
'pull like a schoolboy'  isn't everyone wanting to go the other way to improve milage on open road!
seems to be a lot of work for an IF

transfer case would be great for launching and retreving huge ass boats (30ft+ at very steep boat ramps, like the 1 At riverheads QLD, oposite to where the ferry pulls in. the southwestern ramp. its as steep as and mud the bottom 4 yards at low tide , the tide is like 10+ft lol, difference at top n bottom on a full moon,

hey Marty, I recently heard of some one using a Nissan Patrol (LWB presumably) and shoving a v8 in to it then covering the whole thing with a CFL body.......apparently it lives here in Vic somewhere, I'll try and track it down if it's true......
