Anyone know if there are any softer front springs that could be used in the CF? I find the ride to be a bit bouncy bouncy.
-
If it's bouncing the shocks are stuffed softer springs will only make it worse

Add some weight to the van, they always handle better with weight, empty they just bounce around

Thanks for the replies fellas. Didn't really want to add more weight as it's a Dormobile and weighs 1800kg already. And when we travel my wife likes to collect rocks when I'm not looking. I'll check the shocks when I get some time off from restoring the Armstrong Siddeley.

hi am gonna be putting in heavier springs from a LWB front end sometime soon, into "ol futile".. if you want me too let you know if it improved on the bounce syndrome??
-
Yes I'd be interested in how the heavier springs perform, thanks.

test your shocks by bouncing up and down at one corner of the vehicle 2 or 3 times and let it go ,if it bounces more than 3 times IE: up once, down once, and then up again then your shocks are suspect ,The general rule is :springs transfer road shock into linear movement and shocks absorb that road shock so if the vehicle is "bouncy" then the shocks are either under rated for the weight of the vehicle or theyre just simply shot ! anyway hope that helps Cheers Merlin
