We've just spent a lovely 8 days taking scenic backroads and culminating in taking part in the 2013 Bay to Birdwood Classic. We got the bug two years ago when attending the previous Bay to Birdwood Classic in the camper before I undertook a big restoration.
A pic of the Beddy is on the ABC website here (http://www.abc.net.au/local/photos/2013/09/26/3856933.htm?site=adelaide&xml=3856933-mediarss.xml#bigpicturepos), and another good pic at the start is this one by Awesome Photography.

The trip also led to some fine-tuning of the cooling system, which is documented here (http://www.buga.com.au/index.php?option=com_smf&Itemid=2&topic=6865.msg48138#msg48138).
Happy Bedford camping!
Neil

Hi neil,
thats one cool van must have put a lot of hours in to the restoration, I'm in the process of a restoration myself, no it's more like a total rebuild, my van is a pommy import, "doormobile coachbuilt on bedford" they make it sound royal if you know what I mean, I've only just started and seeing your results gives me insentive to go on.
well done

Gday Neil,
Lovely Camper…did you get it registered as a club van ? i.e. are you getting cheap rego ? if so whats it cost per year and ho easy is it to get the van sorted with the vintage/vetrans car club etc?
cheers

Sorry about the delay in replying, Ian. It's been a while since I logged on, and many more touring miles have been done.
I have a dozen or so vehicles on club registration (see www.grouseguitars.com.au/cars.htm), but the Bedford and my daily driver are on full registration. I anticipate we'll be using the camper more than 90 days a year for some years yet, so the OURBED plates will continue to be used!
Cheers,
Neil
