Title: Heater fan
Post by: Postie Bob on October 06, 2013, 09:31:03 PM
Pulled my heater fan apart today ( was seized solid ) and one of the brushes is all burnt away .
Is a replacement fan getable ?
Maybe I could stick one of those electric radiator fans over the fire-wall hole or is that getting a bit drastic  :) .
Cheers Bob.

i bought a 10" radiator fan but did not have as much blow as i thought it would since it was high flow. so used a motor and fan blade out of one of those 12v heavy duty 2 speed dash fans you can plug into cigaret lighter socket, works ok and only cost $25 but if you want serious wind then you can get new units in the few hundreds mark.

i guess when you get radiator fans that small the diameter of the motor take up too much of the unit to get the air through
