I have a CF Bedford time machine, every time I drive the old girl she takes me right back to 1979.
On the weekend some lowlife tried to break in and steal her. She stood her ground and would not be moved. The Lowlife (for want of a more apt term but I understand this is a family forum) broke all the barrells from the locks and have rendered them useless. Front doors side and rear door locks are all tin tackered.
Are there any aftermarket ones from a holden etc that might fit ?
Look forward to some suggestions.
Cheers Allan in Tassy

I have remote central locking on my van, the key barrels on my van are useless
I'd recommend doing similar, tho if you want it original by all means see if you can find some

The thief must have been a complete moron. I can get into mine with a coat hanger in about 2 seconds flat.

Handy to know.......
I don't even need a coat hanger, any key will do... :)

Thanks guys,
Keen to know more about remote central locking Matte.
Yep got to agree with Rogue most thieves are complete morons (although it takes me a bit over five seconds with a coat hanger).
Thanks Maicoletta for the heads up on the ebay lead. (Looked up door handles on ebay but didnt think to look up wrecking complete van). Sounds like you missed a career in advertising.
Cheers Allan

Most car audio shops can fit central locking for you, or you can buy the kits and install them yourself
