Ya know something ...im confused !!! WHERE does it say in the marriage vows or licence that a bloke relinquishes control to his wife ????  Ya know forgiveness is far easier to get than permission ;) :P

Funny thing that Merlin.......i was just watching Mecum Auto Auctions on Foxtel [along with many other car restoration shows] and the wife just piped up and said...."you know, if you dont get a hot rod or custom car in the near future, then i fear you will miss the opportunity....why dont you just do it" I think she feels sorry for me given all the failed attempts to satisfy my hot rod bug.....i told her i would extend her contract for another 6 months......almost lost my chance right there!!!!!!!! but i managed to sweet talk her :)

Nah...... but wish it was......... will take a few more years paying of the house before my missus would let me spend that sort of money on a weekend cruiser. For now will keep dreaming of that 1 powerball ::)

No worries mate, good luck with the hunting - there's a hell of a lot out there! 40K would get you you one sweet ride from the States - for that money you could afford to fly there and go to Mecum in person!!!

yeah i know Mez.....have been thinking about that.....i saw thay had Boyd Coddingtons shop truck on a while back....i think it was a 34 and it went for $8500.00......not to mention all the other sweet rides that go for a song.....my only concern is the law changes of date getting overseas cars licensed.....i am doing some research on the in's and outs of going down that road.....have spoken to a couple of specialist importers who will find you the vehicle you want and set up all the shipping and customs arrangements.......however.....would like to see, touch, smell and drive something prior to purchase.

With the amount of changes you would have to make to get a rod registered here it would be far cheaper buying a local one
