Title: Parts
Post by: SandB on November 25, 2008, 09:29:31 PM
Hi Guys, New kids on the block here!!

Checked the van out and have found a couple of things that we need!

A shroud for the steering colulmn and a window winder mechanism for the drivers door.

Picked up a towbar t/day from U-pullit in adelaide.

Cheers Brian & Carole ;D

Brian,

Just out of curiosity and for a small laugh (snigger) how long did it take you to track down a
towbar for the Beddy in SA? Don't ask why I am asking... ;)

Cheers

Are tow bars hard to come across?

I have come across a couple SWB ones over this last year, I would imagine there are a few
to be had at wreckers but those bastards charge an arm and a leg so you would want to
come across one through someone on the site or someone wrecking out a van.

It was easy really!!!!    Went to my office, where I buy everything ( U-Pull-It wrecking yard)
Picked one up for the whole sum of $28. It looks that strong, I reckon  Noah towed the ark with it!!                      Brian

I think there was a guy in SA that used to own a Bedford and he was looking for
a towbar for it for a very long time... It would have been close to 4 months...
I find it funny (LOL) that you found one so quickly! hahahahahahaha

Can you still buy them new?

Only reason I ask is that we made one just a short while ago. If people were interested we could build some more.

Pretty sure I have a shroud here if you're interested. If so I'll post a pic and if you're happy with it and it doesn't cost too much to ship across the ditch you can have it. It's no good to me anymore as I have the Fairmont column fitted.
