my missuss would be good at driving that, easy for her to see how much room shes got when shes reverse parking. I went with her to Eastlands a coupla days ago and bumped into Warren, hey bro, ....... the missus was driving the vs stationwagon and found a spot away from all the other cars ("because I don't trust other peoples parking" she says) slowly drove into the parking bay and lined her up real careful like then slowly but surely hit the solid concrete wall thats like 10 feet high directly in front of her ...... then abused me for the way I drive ??? oh well just another example of her touch parking skills ........ hey Ben if you read this don't mention it to her tommorrow !!!
-
is there anyone in Bondi that can have a look at this one( for me :-\ )?

unfortunately I have to recall the message about the wifes driving skill, went to visit benn today and on the way back we stopped in Leongatha for a pub feed, I had to change the shorts I was wearing back into trousers, apparently according to the cheese and kisses I would look respectable? anyways went looking for a phone box to change in and couldn't find one so drove to a dead end street, tried to do a U turn and found the only rock in the town and half ripped the bumper off her car !!!!!! bugger !!!! after much abuse we drove around looking for a phillips head screwdriver to screw it back on, got a cheapo from Safeway then needed a large washer cause the plastic bumber had broken off at the tab where it connects, anyways end up at Kurrumburra and got one at a servo, fixed the bumper then had a pizza and chips for tea, came out to her precious little lovable adorable absolutely fabulous fastidusly kept everyone wants one Mitsubishi and saw that the bumper had popped out of place again, looked okay even though it was half hanging off = more abuse ...... oh well life wasn't meant to be easy ... lucky it was now dark so she could't see the damage (wait till the morning!!!) .... had a great coupla of hours at benns place though so was worth the drive ;) now if we were driving the beddie none of this would have happened, gotta love those little plastic cars :P
-
hahahahahahahahahha
-
I love reading your posts eddy, you crack me up! ;D
-
hopefully not as much as the big crack in the wifes bumper, fixed it this morning ;)

it drove nicely. he bought it for less than he's asking. it has two sunroofs and a padded dash, airhorns and bubble windows. there is a fair bit of rust, as usual, more than the pictures will show. i thought it was too much rust for the asking. anyway, it was a fun day out.

One good thing about lots of Bedford's for sale is that it makes it a buyers market ;D
Lots of supply and little (perceived) demand = cheap beddy's for us! :)
-
lol, true natho, i bet doctor beddy ben buys at least 2 of em, haha.
marty
-
lmao. I havent met Ben yet. or had a chat to him but he sounds like a good bloke.
So Chris and Craig dont have the market dominated anymore, buying up every bedford on offer? :P
-
G'day
I was never "cornering the market", when I was buying Bedfords, they were still fairly common. I was running a service business and ran a fleet of them.
I can remember a week (years ago) that the Trading Post had 60-something CFs listed nation wide.
-
geez chris I remember those days too ........ the internet is a great source for finding beddies but it also attracts more buyers, good yes for enthusiasts bad though for us looking for a bargain, I found a few good beddies parked in driveways and cheekily knocked on the front door and asked if they were for sale, got three great buys that way by talking down the value, nowadays its way harder cause the value of beddies are advertised widely through the internet, no complaints though, it just means that there are more beddies on the road. Hey Nathro, if you ever meet benn he is a young gun legend, really nice bloke and a brother from another mother, a real ball of energy and such a likable guy ... onya Benny !!!!!
-
Just bought a Beddy to wreck
with an LPG set up
Disc brakes
4 speed Box and lotsa good panels doors etc
Kept asking him.......finally he said OK take it away
evil laugh haha ahaha
Anyone need bits give me a pm
-
Its all good chris, i was only playing around :D
Pity the 'good old days' seem to have passed by in regards to the volume of beddy's around. However it still amazes me with the ones that pop up on ebay and the various classifieds.
I have seen a few beddys driving around on the streets of canberra over the past few years. If i see any of them again i will be chasing them down and introducing myself (and of course giving BUGA a plug).
-
Its fine, if I had more money, and more time I would buy a few more.
-
Ha ha;) thanks for the good wrap eddy. Now its my turn. Just got back from an awesome day out with eddy and his missus;) we had a ball of a time. Man eddy is a stirer thou ha ha way funny ha ha. Me and my old man are trying to get eddy and rob to move down our way;) now that would be great! Ed is a real character with the best sense me humor ever. And best bloke around i recon. ha ha;) cheers ben
