Last bit of work for the year just completed. I put some AVERY Conformable Chrome on my grille
today. It's a metallic chrome stretch wrap vinyl, which conforms to most shapes, with the use of a
heat-gun and a squeegee. Fairly easy stuff to use, but does require a little bit of know-how.
I finally added that highlight of chrome, that the spray guy didn't allow me to do when it was
being painted. Turned out pretty cool. If it gets tatty, I can easily replace it. Wouldn't recommend
trying to cover a whole standard Beddie grille with this vinyl though. That would be hard to do.
The middle photo shows how the vinyl is placed over the area needed, heated and pressed to
conform to the shape, and then trimmed accordingly. I'm going to celebrate with a J.D. or two.

The Avery Conformable Chrome has an outdoor durability of only 3 years.
It has a 142 micron thickness, and should be able to handle the bugs O.K.
Very easily removed and replaced. Maybe next time I'll airbrush a more
permanent highlight in chrome paint instead. Cheers. :)
