Title: 202 sump off with engine in?

Hi, can the 202 sump be removed with the engine in place? looks like a definate maybe, there's a bit of room there (with rack removed), just need to change the sump and timing case gaskets. Thought someone here may have tried it already.

There is a way to do it according to the Supplementary Service Manual although I have never tried it. You can read it at the link below, its on page 7. Lots of other info too.

  I asked the same question some time ago .On page 3 of the Maintenance thread
  you will find about a 2 thirds down the page . Can Oil  sump be removed with engine still in van .
  You will see some photos of how John Abbott did the job .
