Title: LX Torana engine sump
Post by: markiimark on July 01, 2012, 10:47:08 PM
Hello Bugas,

I am putting a new motor in my Van.

Will an LX Torana engine sump fit into a CFS Bedford or will I need to swap it with the sump off my dead motor.

Also, what accelerator cable should I use because the new motor has a Stromberg carby with a 'ball and socket' accelerator connection. The old carby has a 'beer keg' style connection.

Thanks for any help,

Mark

you will need an HQ sump..so as to clear the front crossmember.....

- Bicycle shop..get some wire use for gear changes...pull out old inner ..put new one in...

they used the ht-g sump in 69 >71 then the hq from there .if the sump hits the x member the caster rods need adjusting/replacing as the x member has povoted back  BTW doing this makes the van track better down the road    Cheers Merlin
