Here we have two standard cf tanks
one with 'tower' one without
what is the tower for and what is the extra pipe at top of tower for??
as mine is rusty inside and spare (with Tower) is shiny inside
-
Have never seen that before. My guess would be breather or diesel/fuel injection return
-
Isn't it where the flux capacitor for the hyper drive connects in ???
Worth at least 1 fith of the speed of dark matter displacement when the beddy hits 88 mph...........so it will never work.....the beddy would be pushing it to do 70 :)

Its just a breather to allow all the air to escape the tank when filling up. The hose on the top goes up to the filler housing on the side of your van.

Hey Shane, what happened with the new site, is it still going ahead, some of the ideas from members would be great to have on here.

Just checking
one next to sender unit is fuel pickup
one other side of tower is breather that goes to side of van
and one on top of tower is same??
that said, I can block off the one on top of tower as I don't need two??
-
Id use the one on the tower it would allow the air out betterThe standard one doesent seem to let air out quick enough I have to fill mine real slow otherwise it blows back & I waste fuel
-
The following was how mine was setup:
The one next to sender unit was fuel pickup.
The one other side of the tower was the return from the engine.
And the one on top of tower goes to the filler on the side of the van.

What year model was that
-
Good question. I cant remember what year mine is. 76 maybe??
-
My camper is a 76 & doesnt have it What I was curious about was the return line from carby That's a 80es thing isnt it
-
On a Bedford who knows........... :D
-
after 74' the tank had to be vented to the carbon canister for emissions so i think that is the fuel vapour outlet .the engine ,carby & fuel tank had to be closed loop ventilation ,meaning they vented to the carbon canister and then the carby siphoned the fumes into the engine to be burnt suposedly to reduce emissions ???? Cheers Neil

makes sence, :D ??? ;) :D
