The topic of Engines came up in another thread, it got me to thinking.
Ive seen a few, holden 173, 186, 202, 253, 308 chev 350, Ford 250 etc.
So the question is "what sorts have you seen running in a beddy?", and what are the pro's and con's of that setup?
I'll start
I'm running a standard (if not a bit tired) 202.
Pro's - cheap, reliable, simple easy to work on and tune, can get parts almost anywhere. Economical running on Gas its about $35 a week to run.
Con's - No as sexy as a V6/V8, lacks a bit of power for towing my camper around.
Now your turn.

G'day
I have seen a few but the ones that stood out:
Danny's blue CFL with a Ford Cobra Big Block. Very Fast!
The plumbers van from Cessnock with a mid-mounted Chevy Big Block. A genuine sleeper that was also very fast!
One of the boys from BOSCA had a CFS with a worked 350 Chev that he kept blowing up doing burnouts, so he put in a Chev V8 diesel. Still did awesome burnouts but didn't blow up.

What do you want to know i can take pics & post if you like but Beddy as my pic is running the Water4Gas unit (cost $45-60) to make.
before i put it in i had a slight cough/miss then when i put it in the rpm idle went from 900rpm to 1000rpm and the miss/cough went away.
going to take it for a long run with & without the unit on. they say you can get from 25% increase in mileage & some have gone as far as 72% increase.
it can be used in Petrol or Desiel motors. ;D
