What back end do you think would suit Black Beddie.......
-
i like 1 or 3
-
agree, big window rocks!
-
I rather like the horizontal lights, but looking at overall balance I think 3 is the clear winner.
-
I recon 1, or maybe 3, mmmm 2 is good, maybe 4, mmmmm maybe all, no 3, then again 2 is nice, no gotta be 4, then again i do like 1, yeah 1. ;D ;D ;D ;D ??? ??? ??? ??? ??? :o :o :o :o 1 ????? lol ;D ;D ;D Hope this helps Bas. ;D ;D ;D

I'm going to be different and say # 4 but with the number plate lower
Gives that "don't mess with me" attitude
-
yep 3 ,but then stick a HQ rear bumper on... cant get the no plate any lower than that eh busy? ... an that,ll looks reeeeaaalllly mean ::) ::) ;)
-
none aye what about two vertical windows
-
Don't forget to place your vote, as this will be it, No 3 seems to be popular, but not on the poll..........
-
Not simple, is it?
I rather like Busy's idea, but do you want 'nice' or 'mean'?
Who does the van need to appeal to? and does the rear styling fit the philosophy of the rest of the van?
-
I think #3 says camper while #4 says custom van
another option
-
2 is the one i like but the lights need to be a little smaller with the no# plate between the lights
ive got a xf taillight to put in mine ... and have always thought about the slit windows
bas did you sell your van in the end ?
-

Yea sold, by word, after looking at it, but changed my mind, wife and I have come to an understanding, us boys must have our toys, but not allowed more than 2, so have my quota....... :D
-
kick ass for me Busy, well balanced, like the small window(widens the van), and gives her that "fat bottom girls make this rockin world go round" ...look.....yum!

OK LOOKS BETTER WITH THE SMALL REVERSING LIGHTS AS YOU HAD BEFORE.......

shes a keeper then ;D not any are so understanding

Bas, it also depends how you are going to have the lights, recess or proud, same as with the number plate.

All will be recessed. wife likes 1 or 3, go figure :o
-
Hey Bas, what about # 1 with the number plate down between the reversing lights. I did that on a 4x4 when i did a custom tray, looked ok.
george.

Wife wants "nice" me and my son whant "mean" but for No 1 the window I have is in a alloy frame, and openings, so this would be a big + I guess for access to the back. The rest of the van can be built around the rear.......
-
i recon 2 and 4 would look good if the van was chopped.
-
I went #4 on my first van but used truck lights brake-indicator-brake on each side, mounted proud, and then hit the lot with Shadow Tint (might be called Night Shades now??) so they all looked black until you hit the pedal or indicator. Looked pretty good (old LTD style?)
You could onle see a row of rectangular black lights with the number plate in the middle until they lit up. If it was the brakes there were four of the buggers to let people know that the brakes had indeed been applied!!
Then had a small low-mount spottie on the tow bar as a reverse light.
-
yeah, chop it and add a pop top ;) :p
-
stick all four piccies on the wall , blindfold yourself, then chuck a dart at them.... let fate be your guide... ;D ;D ;D ;)

Hey Bas,
Well done on the negotiating skills with keeping the van.
Lights wise I'd go with #1 but drop the number plate down between the lights. If you use the Hella rectangular stop&tail, reversing and indicator lights there's plenty of room. Check the back end of my van out and you'll see the effect. You can also get the lights in a 3 light pod ready to fit. Found that out after I made mine.
Keep us posted on the final outcome.
Garry.

your gunna have to mock it up on the van mate with cut outs as sumtimes seeing as it realy looks makes you think twice
-
Ok guys, looks like this is the one most people like, so this is it, as the van sports a lower tailgate, the stop and reverse will need to be suncken into this, while the blinker into the body, sounds like fun........
-
Yo Bas thats the one, above this, thats how i did my 4X4, go for it, just keep the lights inside the body shape, and you have a winner, cant wait to see the pics as you do the build.

Hey Bas is this sort of what you are looking at. I like the clean look.

Yep, thats it, the top one is Craigs van, before he got his hands on it, now it's a rusty colour..... ;)
Will do the taillights, but will have to keep them low, due to the catch placement for the lower hatch, will put the half window in first to see what it looks like, and then I can make up the rebate for the lager window, as the /half window hole would just be made lager. So good chance to see what it would look like.
-
HERE'S THE OTHER WINDOW I WOULD USE, ITS AN EXIT WINDOW, SO FULLY OPENS.
-
I don't like any of those taillights I like the factory tinted Ford LTD tail lamps, (Craig pic please) then being a van you just gotta have a bubble window this can be made in any shape I've seen chevy bow ties love hearts etc.
