can anyone tell me how to identify this diff its a 10 bolt chey i think the only numbers i could find is 4 21L3

got it sorted its a 3.55 ratio bq 10 bolt and for sale

Na dont want to buy it just curious as most guys want to know the widths of different types of diffs to make a decision on which to use Thanks for the info

is this the 10 bolt you had on trade me ? .... did you find an other v8 diff that you wanted ?

yip same diff and no havent found another diff aye after looking for a diff found out that the diff that was in the  van had been changed to cf stud pattern thats why my spacers didnt fit the front has got spacers that chage it up to bedforc stud pattern guna get a cf diff so i can move my van round and save up for a custom diff guy in chch can make them 2,500 but will be bullet proff

Have a look at juniors kustom rides . They do custom diff and other stuff here in the hutt

yip know that just the ratio found that took off backing plate and it a manual diff

so whats the diff between them ??
i know the my 72 with chev has a 10 bolt ( well told that )
and my 79 with 202 has a diff with 10 bolts .
will have a look under both in the weekend

aussie 10 bolt is egg shaped, us 10 bolt is much rounder and has a creased wave in rear cover, its also known as the gm 8.2, there is also the gm 8.5 which has 10 bolt cover but no wave

im sure mines an ozzy diff has holden has that on the diff gears and then 3.55 ratio then bq

it's got the "ears" by the diff head and they have been drilled out so it will be from a HQ-HZ sedan
