Alright so I have a three speed and the 202 blah blah but my clutch smokes when driven aggressively (dont judge ;) any way clutches on eBay for holdens etc are cheap is one of these what I need or does it need too be an actual Bedford specific clutch

sounds like its slipping bad.
be carefull buying things off ebay,
its a outlet for a lot of new cheep crap parts,
id buy a good quality holden 1 tonner clutch, to suit your motor.
remember you only get what you pay for,
cheap isnt always better.
you might go through 2 to 3 cheap ones compaired to 1 good quality one.
remember that a holden 1 tonner is a work vehicle and the 1 tonner clutch is tougher to handle heavy stuff, weight etc.
i always use them .
and always been happy withem.

What year Holden one do I want the three speed is the reverse is top left first bottom left one so I assume stock

just check with your local car parts supplier,
but its usually from 1971 HQ to 1984 WB holden 1 tonner.
ask the rep to show you the difference in quality between budget and heavy duty clutch plate, and pressure plates .
you will notice the difference.

This is my first van I owned an fj40 before hand but picked up my van for 250 rusty body but pop top is perfect so I checker plated the rust sprayed it and already had offers over 1300 it's on gas but I'm pulling the system off as the tanks crap so I'll sell that on once clutch is done I'll be happy

Holden clutches are what you want not Bedford, unless you have one of the european/NZ motors.
We dont use the 1 tonner clutches in the race cars as they tend to become loose on the rivets prematurely. Though on a fairly standard motor this may not be an issue.
The clutch plates we have found to be the best are the Exedy, or funnily enough the Protex.
They are not expensive, just call up your local repco or a brake and clutch specialist.
Check the pressure plate, and make sure you sand the face of the flywheel and the face of the pressure plate heavily by hand with some 36grit, or 60 grit to roughen it up and give the clutch something to bite to.
While you're at it check the spigot bearing for wear, and if it does not need replacing, give it a light greasing

So rough up flywheel and check the what? Is it hard too change a clutch I'm nineteen so sorry for noob quest

its easy , specially on a beddy as they have higher grounnd clearance (unless u have a hoist) then its a snack.
dont breethe in the dust, wear a dust mask.

It has 2" lift blocks aswell

Is there anything I can do about the shifter it's small almost behind the seats and I hate it

But it's only a three speed :/ does this mean different clutch but yea it sits pretty much parallel with the handbrake

ahh sorry thats right, 3speed, must be a speco shift maybe?
bolts to the back of the box .
get an Australian 4 speed it uses the same clutch, bellhousing as the 3 speed.
and tailshaft is the same as well.
easy change.

It days Holden on it so I'll get the clutch from hq-etc I think dad has a Aussie four speed lying around I'll ask but I don't like my chances I checked it has Holden stamped on the side with some numbers

yeah sounds like a holden 3 speed all syncro box,
a 4 speed aussie should slip straight in its place, only thing u need to do is make a new hole for the shift n cover the old 3 speed hole.
everything else will fit.
4 speeds are better thats 4 sure

There's already two holes in the floor one just after the engine hump and the one parallel with handbrake
