could be 80's camaro with that centre hole (they had a grill in them)
-
looks to me like a nissan bluebird or similar
-
the thing thats got me is that its dead flat accross the front where it meets up to the car?

i forgot to mention its 193cms accross... so that rules out anything thats narrow... and it cant be a hz hq george cause it doesnt have any curves to follow the nose cone..
ill check out 80's camaro thanks rossie.

just a thought, its not a rear skirt for something.
Cheers Jeff

Ok benny, now that we have a better angle to look at, it definately is not anything aussie, most aussie cars have some sort of curve in the front, and a comaro it is'nt, they have even more curves and bumps. I would suggest it is part of a skirt or trim for front or rear, maybe a secondary part for a spoiler. We definately need to solve this one benny, mystery deepens. ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ??? ??? ??? ??? ;) ;) ;)

Just wondering if it is meant to fit under something on the front of a Beddy or similar. One piece bumper bar sort of thing.
For example, would it bolt up under a one piece bumper bar or bull bar (IE square shape) and enable the spoiler type look across the front end so as to still let airflow into the radiator etc.
I'm thinking of making something similar for the standard front on my camper to "shovel" the air into the radiator. I made a couple of tin baffles and fitted them behind the grille to stop the air from taking the easy way past the radiator (around it and not through it) and the temp gauge is a lot more stable. Next is to to the "shovel" thing to the lower radiator to increase airflow.
Maybe this thing is something similar

Do you have a radiator shroud? These work very well in keeping the temperature stable.

I have the opposite problem, can't keep mine warm let alone hot.
Am running the VN V6 radiator, around town it's at running temp (as long as I get a few red lights), get on the motorway and drops to cold. Need to block a bit of the grill off

YEP , same problem, around town it moves up 1-2 marks, on motorway drops back, but water in raidiator is real hot if I remove the cap after running............

I wish!!! the red 202 is hauling 3 ton so it is working pretty hard all the time. I am using a Speco temp gauge and not the original. What about you guys? i checked the water temp with a thermometer and it is accurate. I'm running a triple core holden radiator for the beddie but methinks i need more water capacity too. I tell ya, fixing the airflow into the radiator and not around it helped heaps. A bit more water capacity and some more refinement / fiddling with the air flow and it should be spot on.

are you kiwis running thermostats?

:) off topic :)

yep standard 180 degree
back on topic, didn't the old XE model falcons etc have a rear spoiler
-
Off topic: It's not an uncommon issue. I remember there was a bit about the V6's running cool on the Justcommodores forum.
On topic: I have no idea what that spoiler fits.

haahahaha ;D
what spoiler?

not hz i have one...

made mine with a ba falcon spoiler
-
im so dumb should have read the start off the poast lol

Its not any firebird or camaro spoiler I've ever seen, and I like to think i have a quite complete knowledge of the models.
Being that square says to me its from an 80's era car, looks more like a front spoiler considering it has the 'fog light' sections to the sides.
You may be able to find a match on google images if you type in enough car models..
Wraith: that Ba spoiler actually looks quite good as far as roof spoilers go.
