I was in Odessa last year for 2 weeks and did not see any Bedfords, the only big vans were mainly transits and Mercedes but none done up. :(
-
Well, i'm in Malaysia @ present (no Beddie spotto lol) but just put my vote in for VIC. We are doing well lads! (and a few ladies =O] ) . . wouldn't it be sweet if we could do an interstate run? Australia all over beddie meet. BUGA olympics.

I think you'll find that most of those members have just joined so they can look through the gallery. If I'm correct I think certain parts of this site, like the gallery, were only made accessible to members instead of open to all and as membership is free people just join up so they can have a look. They don't really have any intention of sticking around.
I do it myself on forums when things like the search function are locked down to members only. I only need to know one answer to something I'm looking for and have no intention of sticking around but trying to find it without access to the search function is a nightmare.

that sounds like your right on the money Rogue,
maybe user names that stay inactive after 18mths should be automatically deleted.
its cool to think there are 1863 members but it looks like maybe 1800 are blo-by,s
id like to know how many are actually regular,s?
i suppose 57 to 80 is close to the mark.

I agree.
When I am doing a Google Images search, I can find what I am looking for but when I try to look at the site the image is on, I have to join. I join, find out what I want, and then mostly never go back. Some sites I do go back to though.
A local bloke is considering starting a forum and I was using the BUGA site yesterday as an example of a successful forum. I am a member of many forums and I consider this to be one of the best. It is well managed and active with a good spread of people. It has continued to be popular over a long period of time while I have seen many others fade away.
Having 1800 people who took the trouble to register is still cool.

It is not simple for foreighn visitors to find bedford van through huge quantity of other model of vans in Odessa. Do you know why? ;-)
Because we have only 3 Bedford vans here in Odessa! Sad but true.
Two of them is mine and both of them isn't on the road at present, because the restoration process isn't finished now.
I have a hope that before nearest summer time I will finish the restoration at least one of them.
p.s. As I know, there is 20-25 pcs of Bedford vans in Ukraine at present time! :-)
At least half of them not used on the road through 2-3 last years and their owners try to sell them as a spare parts at present time.
p.p.s. Guys, if some of you (BUGA forum members) will goes to Odessa or in Ukraine some days, pls don't be hesitate to contact me with any questions about ... any kind you need. :-)
I will try to make all my best to help you and give support to you in any situation you will meet here. +38 (067) 993-18-70 (mob. ph. at any time)

I recon if a username is unused for 12 months then delete it. Also what is happening with the new site, there were some great ideas and changes that came up about 12 months ago, but nothing has happened. Any update on the new site.
Have a safe new year guys, the looneys are on the roads in force.
