Title: Moving engine forward?
Post by: outriding on November 17, 2011, 05:16:15 AM
When you swap a V8 into a CF you always get this huge doghouse.

I was thinking why not remove the radiator and move the engine forward,

that way you would get more space inside the cabin.

You can put 2 smaller radiators on the sides of the engine,

I seen this example of a Opel with a inline 6 cylinder were they had to put a side radiator to fit the engine (this is stock)

you want the weight to be behind the front crossmember. otherwise your steering will get really heavy, and the handling of the van will suffer. if you push your v8 back and lower it the space taken out of the cabin will be hardly noticable.
