Is anyone going to the Nats this year? There's been very little talk about it. We were thinking of taking the Green Dream down for a run on the Sunday but not much point if no ones going.
Anyone interested in a Beddiw Run to the Island?? Could be a hoot!

I'm in for Cranny Bunnings at 10.30, still taking the poofjero, do we need the bbq trailer? or will we keep it simple ? l need to consider cost of petrolla to tow the trailer all the way to Phillip Island and if its not gunna be used then its better staying parked up in the drive way, we can do fish and chips at San Remo instead, are we all wearing buga tee shirts? ;D don't forget a camera ;)
-
Hi Eddy,
i wont be down there for too long, basically a cruise and a bit of a look around, not sure of the other boyz - probably not worth taking the bbq - up to you mate.
-
Eddy
I will be similar to Mez, cruise down look around and head back.
Mark B is just coming for the cruise.
How about you join us leaving from Anaconda at 9:00 to get to cranny by 10ish

had a great day today boyz, thanks for the terrific company was a real pleasure for us to be out with you guys today, would like to say that the highlight was seeing one of the spanky show vans but the highlight for us was travelling there and back with the beddie boyz ;D will post pics when I can but have to mention something, last beddie run me and the missus went to apart from the Geelong nats was the 1st buga get together in Melbourne, missus was cackin herself when mystic fantasy went home on a tray truck reckons typical beddie ( sorry james no offence mate - shes rescued me and my beddies untold times so shes knows a whole lot about beddie realiability) .... so everything going well today, everyone cruising at speed to phillip island then something happened on the way back can't say much at this stage you'll have to wait for the pics ...... but did reinforce her opinion of beddie reliability though ...... buga :-\

What you talkin bout Willis

Was a great day but :D

Was a great day guys and gals, really good to catch up - I know we didnt have big numbers but hey, we flew the flag for the Beddies in our own little way. We have to catch up Wazz and see if we can organise a day for a run with as many beddowins as we can.
Thanks for the great day guys

What you talkin bout Willis ? ::) I just enjoyed a viewing of a lovely nice video of big bad dad in his 308 fuel injected green machine ;D hey wazz how do I put pics in this post or is it better to put them in my gallery. Don't know I f I can do it tonite just got in from being in the garage all day early start following the Dawn Service ..... yes you guessed it working AGAIN on the back door BUT no sanding or painting :P, mounted the gas struts and lined the interior of the door ( ooohhh looks very nice) and started on a double bed - big tool shelving - seating arrangement that can be swapped easily to suit what I need the van for on any given day/outing. Hey Mezz artists (yes that covers ALL artists including bullsheet artists) have a creative licence but there is no way my best friend bedford brother that I would even consider streeeeetching the truth a little ;D hmm might put it out the fraternity to add a comment ;)
-
hey wazz how do I put pics in this post or is it better to put them in my gallery
Well there are several ways you can do it.
1. Add them to your gallery and then use image tags and photo prpoerties to put them in the body of your post.
2. Use the additional options/ attach to put the pics at the bottom of your post after your signiture.
I believe the first otion is best as it means you can put comments around the pics, also the gallery software resizes your pics optimising them for the net.
option one
This takes longer - but ensures your pics are all in one place.
Create a folder for the group of pics, load all your files up into your gallery folder.
Open another window with BUGA on it, start your new post.
Switch to your gallery, find the file you want to put in your post.
Click on properties and highlight the URL, click copy (the URL)
Switch to your Post
click on the "insert image" second button in on the line above the smileys
you will see the [img*] [/img*] tags, paste the URL between the tags, repeat as nessisary.
You can hit the preview button to check that you have the images correctly added into your post.
* symbol added to get the image tags to display in this post
Option two
Start your post then go to the "additional Options" on the bottom left of the input screen.
use the "attach:" abd browse to were your files are located on your PC add them.
Post.

Warren
-

-
Ok try one at a time buddy
Ive just uploaded most of my pics so Ill do a little run through.
Mark B and I meet up in Bayswater for the drive to Cranbourne, pretty straight forward first leg.
We waited for a few minutes and Stuey and Mathew turned up in the Green Machine
(http://www.buga.com.au/gallery2/main.php?g2_view=core.DownloadItem&g2_itemId=30999&g2_serialNumber=2)
and then Mezz arived in the Trippy Hippy van
(http://www.buga.com.au/gallery2/main.php?g2_view=core.DownloadItem&g2_itemId=31009&g2_serialNumber=2)
And of course Mr & Mrs Eddy turned up in t the Pooojero - so no pics of that :)
So we stood around and chatted, checking out vans and genrally shooting the shite for a while, until the scrootanear had pick all the faults in each of the vans.
So it was time to go to the Island - Mark B headed off home due to family commitments - and I think he was smart enough to know we might just get into some sort of Trouble ::)
All was going well cept for some Mainiack in a 4x4 drivin al over the place like a mad womans footprints.

And Me bringing up the rear - wheres the Pic Eddy??
We arrived around mid day in San Remo and decided to have Lunch, Fish and Chips in the Car Park never tasted so good.
After another of the Scrootanears diatribes from his throne in the middle of a parking bay it was time to move on to the show.
We arrived and payed or way in and as we were walking around looking at

The Scroot found a friend - some one worthy of his intallect, they struck up a conversation on engines and coefficients of friction, the size of Nitros bottles and the little machine that goes ping Oh Scroot how we envy you ;D
To me this was the nicest thing there
(http://www.buga.com.au/gallery2/main.php?g2_view=core.DownloadItem&g2_itemId=30946&g2_serialNumber=2)

Even the Scroot had trouble picking on this one

Another sweet effy

With a well proportioned arse

The panel and paint on this was awesome
(http://www.buga.com.au/gallery2/main.php?g2_view=core.DownloadItem&g2_itemId=30981&g2_serialNumber=2)
Any one seen my van - they all look the same ;)
After doing the loop lokking at all the Vans and talking shite it was time for home.
The traffic off the island flowed quite well and before long we were at our next designated drink stop - this time some of the giggle water was consumed so the BS continued to flow.
But No trip is without its issues and poor old Mez was battling a stuffed fuel pump and dodgey fuel filler and ended up running out of petrol on the way home.
But even Hippys sometimes remember thier boy scout days and mez was prepared with a 40 ltr can of go juice, we just had to get it in the pesky filler a jury rigged funnel and hose mad quick work of it.
Mezz doing the honours
(http://www.buga.com.au/gallery2/main.php?g2_view=core.DownloadItem&g2_itemId=30878&g2_serialNumber=2)
The scroot offered around cigerettes while we were doing this but we declined
10 minutes and we were on our way again.
Was a small affair but fun none the less, thanks all for the company, it made the day.

I resemble that remark Wazza!

Hey mezz, great pics mate, great van. With your twin tanks and surge tank, do you have pics of the set-up, did you build custom tanks, or use 2 beddy ? I ask because i am planning on doing twin tanks in mine, and have been looking at a raft of options. The reason for me doing it is that, being in a chair, with the cruiser i run the main tank [90lts] and when i switch to the reserve tank [50lts] i know to keep an eye out and get the truck topped up. The beauty is i dont run out and get stranded. The chances of me doing a bash like you is remote, but as we all know the good old beddy makes us do things we would normally not do. Appreciate any advice and pics of your tanks set-up, thanks mate.
george.
-
g'day George,
i'll post some pics when i find my camera!! it's a real basic set up - standard beddie main tank running into a surge tank, the rear tank (currently vn commodore) has an external pump running fuel from that tank to the beddie tank when a top up is required.
Are you running fuel injection George?
mezz
-
Hey Mezz.....That rear tank, do you turn the external pump on yourself or is it automatic? :-\
-
I have a toggle switch on the dash, i'm not that smart Jonno to wire up an auto one!!!
-
Hey Mezz, thanks for that. I have the VP EFI motor in mine 3.8.
My hummer had 3 tanks in it, with 2 fillers, 2nd filler filled the 3rd tank which ran into the 2nd tank, it used to take a while to fill lol ;) Do you have a separate gauge for 2nd tank ? How do you know to switch to the reserve tank, do you have a light or something simular to the cruiser to tell you its getting low.
These Qs and more will be answered in the next thrilling episode of : Beddy Fuel Tanks ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D oooppps got carried away. Thanks mezz.
george.
-
Hi George,
'and now....for the most exciting answer the world has ever known.......(getting carried away too - used to love the Chiken Man radio show!!!)
When we did the first set up we were busting for time to get the beast ready for scrutineering so we really did short cut a few things - fuel set up being one of them - we had it working so that was good enough. We didn't have a separate gauge in fact the one gauge we did have didnt work!!! This time i have rerun all the hosing, refitted the Surge tank to a better location and managed to get the gauge working. I am thinking now of installing a second gauge but i'll see how i go with that one, i'm still trying to work out wether i'll change the rear tank.
stay tuned!
-
He's EVERYWHERE ! He's EVERYWHERE ;D ;D ;D

I'll probably give the van (s) a tune up to make the distance ;D ;D
Does it count that I did the Beddy-Nullabor thing in Bedford the First?? 20-odd years ago then took it to the Territory where it finally expired through "other commitments" (that means slackness and I STILL regret it six years after moving to WA!!)
Got two now to atone for my sins - His and Hers and His hasn't seen any work done at all yet ::) ::) Go figure...
-
I.m hoping to get there with wife and 3 kids ::) but not sure which van to drive there?
The black van i bought from w.a. is still stuck in paint jail, should be finished by end of this year i hope or i just drive the green van which i know is reliable.
