woo hooo, this week is my last with my current employer then a few weeks in Melbourne raising cash for fuel then me and the faithful one (thats the missus not the beddie) will be heading off on an extended 18 month road trip. Hooking up the caravan behind the poofjero and heading where ever ;D. Beddie will sit in the garage for 18 weeks before we come back to Melbourne to take it to whereever we end up. No plans, no committments, no idea and no money. Will be looking for work wherever, in my past life I was a carpenter so returning to the tools, been offered house sitting in Hervey Bay for 3 months but undecided might get bored being in one place, perhaps Nth Qld, Nth Territory or maybe Perth? 18 months on the road going where the work is ....... this weekend sanded the rear of the van, fitted struts to the one piece rear door and picked up reverse switch for ozzie 4 speed today from Joe in Dandenong, have to fit the van out with shelving to carry tradie tools then service and register her, then look for tradie roof rack to fit beddie. Still haven't started packing at home or at work but time is getting close to saying bye bye to 3 sons at home and hello to adventure before dementia ;D ;D ;D

What is life if you haven't got stories?

four weeks to lift off, but meanwhile needs for poofjero and caravan 1. buy and install uhf x 2 2. install twin battery system 3. find and mount bike carrier to caravan 4. find reasonable priced laptop 5. find 15" 4 x 4 tire for spare 6. draw bar mounted tool box 7. reverse sensor (called into an installer on Saturday he has excess new sensor kits at $39, easy fit) if interested let me know and I'll post his details. If anyone has anything in the above list and want to sell or trade let me know, would rather do business here before checking out ebay or gumtree.
Hey Mezz looking forward to the trip, if I am not in regular contact means I will be standing in line at a soup kitchen or getting a feed at the salvos or been eaten by a croc. Hey Jeff your spot on mate ... adventure before dementia, never the mind we're not grey nomads just yet, more like brown nomads, why brown nomads ? well its not because of my Maori natural tan but more about sheeting myself not having a regular source of income. Hey Wazz I may well end being a dirty rotten stinkin bastarde particularly if I have no choice but to stand in line at a soup kitchen in some far off remote place after not being able to afford to wash for a coupla weeks (do crocs have a keen sense of smell, maybe not washing will put them off) .... woo hooo last week in regular income ..... bring it on babee yeaah ;)
