BUGA BUGA BUGA just getting ready for the w/end van run and now tonight the TH350 decides to slip AFTER i just flled it up! how much , how long will it take a tranny shop to "adjust " the bands????
-
did you replace the filter? when you dumped all the old oil out?
-
yeah did a oil change/filter kit, we even flushed the old fluids didn't we. wondering whats involved in tightening the bands, if any shops don't want any notice and are just wiating at the door for me WITH coffee , full cooked breakfast and a limo to take me to work :-\
-
do a google search dano, surely you can do it yourself
-
have you driven the van to get the new fluid warm and pumped through the whole tran/toque converter?
from dead empty they take allot of fluid. Have you rechecked the level when warm?
the TH400 in my HQ takes a bit to get all primed up when I haven't driven it for a few months.
it seems to always come good once its in gear for a bit.
-
yep daone all that...... and just done it again.......FAIL :'( :'( $$$$$$ :'( :'( :'( :'(
-
bugga, that doesn't sound good then. have you ever driven with that trans?

Danno,
It was slipping a fair bit when I had it. I was going to overhaul it. The bloke I got it off said it was nearly stuffed.
Good luck with it. Hope it's not too bad.

Sorry to say but any trans sitting that long could proberbly have a leak or two, hope you fix her up Dano cos l would love to see her done and going (specialy your dash)
