Title: Timber floor

Hi all Im putting down a timber floor and was wondering weather to put insulation down first and ½” board on top anyone got any ideas thanx   pete

I put that structural flooring with the yellow tongue and groove on the floor in my van, with no insulation underneath.
the sound levels seemed about the same, maybe slightly quieter, but I am yet to carpet it all.

I am also undecided if some kind of insulation under the timber is a good idea,
my concern is if water ever gets under the timber it will never dry out and turn into one big rusty mess.
