Hey Guys, not so long ago guys on here were talking about dropping beddys, and someone said to drop the body to give the impression of a dropped van. Here is a big rig that looks like it has been dropped, but they have just lowered the body panels, cheap way to drop a van without dropping it. No-one will know unless you tell them.

Wouldn't it be way too hard to do it to a beddy as it isn't seperate body/chassis
-
Sorry should of been clearer, the body and suspension dont get touched, you extend the body, ie: add metal to the arches so the gap is less, and where you would run side pipes you run some body trim to close the gap between the body and the ground. It makes the van or in this case truck look as if it is low to the ground, in fact it is still the same height, an optical elusion. Has to be cheaper then engineering the suspension.

The cheap way is what Ben said take the springs out and put them in your seat bases ;D

That's not body dropping though. Body dropping or chanelling involves cutting out the floor and dropping the body down over the chassis and then re welding the floor back in.
-
yeah means moving the floor closer to the roof
-
doncha mean move the roof closer to the floor ??? I think you bed it sackwards ;) ;D

Hey guys, my whole point here was, and i may of used the wrong terms, point was not to touch any of the chassis or anything to engineer. My point was that by adding some skirts and closing in the wheel arches made the truck above look lowered, you could do the same thing on a beddy, and not go anywhere near an engineer. Ben could maybe do up a skirt kit that gives the look of a lowered beddy. A bolt on lowered kit. ??? ??? A days work and you have a hotrod lowered beddy van. ;D ;D ;D ;D

Won't need much cutting of the floor, rust has has done that job for you........... :D

Bas posted a picture of a bedford with a big rear bumper to give that look your talking about, just makes the van taller though.
