I used to go every year with work(Truckline) met some cool farmers in the food tent(HMMMMM Food) who rocked up in their planes and helicopters, call into the Truckline tent and say that Clint says G'Day, they have allways pack the footy and frisbies, it's all good but watch out some of thes farm boys and girls party hard at night

"Camping on the Field Days site itself is not permitted under ANY CIRCUMSTANCES. All accommodation caravans must be park off the site from 6.00pm."

just received updated info today.

Hi Craig,

No unfortunately there is not a convoy leaving Perth on Saturday, there is one leaving on Sunday morning though.

With regards to camping, there is a separate camping/caravan park setup adjacent to the oval which can be booked through me and only costs $10 a night.

I have attached the entry information pack for you. I hope this helps but if you have any further questions please do not hesitate to contact us.

Just back from a month in England and Europe (plenty of vans but not one Bedford to be seen  :( )

Checked our roster and no good; we get to play in the Pilbara that weekend, Buga it.

Being from a farm most of my relos will be at the field day so I would love to come but unfortunately Merlin still has my van he was fixing some rust, and has been for 8 months now, what I was advised would take 6 weeks has taken a bit longer.  If my van was not now in pieces.....

ok- so at this point its 4 vans

plan so far is to go up on sat just after lunch and bbq camp the night in the caravan park then park on the oval on the sunday as a group , cause we are not being judged we can just pay on the day. Its pretty laid back and cruzy so should be a nice relaxing time.
Il post a spot in midland that we can all meet at later during the week. Looking forward to it.

I'll be getting back into perth the wednesday night before the run, so depending on how things are going and how cashed up i am, I may well be there.. if im not cashed up and buggered, then i may not.. i'll let you know how things are fairing on the thursday :)

woohoo yeah mate that's just what the doc ordered (not to mention the footy shorts) cheers Griff , had an absolute blast , got to drive Griff's van for two days.... top  spot , nice little country town and top counrty folk , cheers Dowerin, we'll be back next year for sure.

Also a good consideration for the W.A. Van Nats  8)

Had a bloody great weekend...Great to actually sit down and chat compared to just an hour or so at other events. Man we need some rain over here as the country side was just brown as. I slept on the back of my truck and the full moon was so bright that i had to put a towel over my head just so i could sleep.! :D   My truck was finding the hills a bit hard to get up and was battling to cruise above 90kph >:( so my plan is to install a 202 over xmas that i have in my shed here. Will put an early commodore electronic ignition and ford webber carby on it and maybe a new camshaft that will help get me up those hills. Will have the head reconditioned and set up to run on unleaded. ;D Better start saving now!!!! ;)

Funny you should ask that Dano  ::) I have had a colour picked out for a while now. There is a picture of a car on an old street machine mag that is exactly what i want (its like a pastel peach colour) i will scan it and put it up for you guys to comment on. ;D ;D
