Whats the best way to lower a CF Bedford?
-
Let the tires down or throw a couple of rolls of carpet in the back. This has been covered extensively in previous posts and the back is relatively simple. The front is very problematic. Try the search function.

If you want it done properly go down to pedders and talk to them about it. They did the van for us but the back is reset leaves and new shocks and bushes but the front they got springs custom made because the front ends don't like being lowered too much, they won't function right and you will just keep hitting you bumpstops. Have a look in my gallery and see the ride Hightower of the van and that's pretty much the lowest I would go with out sacrificing the ride. Good luck with it all

i recon the easiest way would be to take the springs out and fit them inside your seat bases:)

Haha yeah true but only on a cfl with a high roof

Lol thanx bas, there you go that's the look we got without sacrificing ride. Some say it's too low for a beddy, I think not enough but it does ride sweet at this hight

i always recon the best way is to make a kit to make it look lower you lose nothing that way and to set the rake smaller wheels on the front 235/60R14 and on rear any size you like as long as its taller
-
not only that but its cheaper
-
Each to their own I guess, depends what look you like some like dragster look some like it level. Besides If I did that on mine I would have to watch the clearance for the rear spoiler :)

ive always thought this.. but ive always wondered how to make it look right? and so the wheels dont bounce up and scrape on the flared guards every bump you go over?

number 13 van i had i used the jumbo flares on the rear cut off the flange that went inside the body of the jumbo and put that on the lip of the rear wheel arch then used steel rain guttering as side skirts and over sized flared fiberglass guards for the front and a fiberglass front turck visor off a volvo for the front bumper the hole van look like it it was 4" off the ground made it so the side skirt was split so when you opend the door it swung with it wish i had the pics aye
