Title: What is the right tool to adjust CF front drum brakes
Post by: stuuuz on February 01, 2011, 09:22:25 PM
Hi gents,
What is the right tool to adjust the front brakes? Its a weird square nut that my standard spanners slip off, don't wanna round it.

The same info for the rear brakes would be handy too.

thanks for any ideas,
-Stu

There is a special spanner for these

I think the bicycle spanner, it is a big thin spanner with square holes in the middle of it, I think they also fit, but can be awkward to get in.

If you use spanners, use the ring end, open end will slip

failing that, crc and vise grips

I got sick of messing around with them and welded wheel nuts on them, so much easier ever since.. ;D
