Title: Blinker Switch
Post by: BlackBedford on December 22, 2010, 12:40:23 PM
G'day

I bought a Range Rover Classic for parts ( it just happened to have a V8 Vitesse motor being run by a Motec) While looking through the paperwork that came with the RR I noticed a receipt for a new blinker switch... the amount? $220 fitted!
And yes I pulled it out, and no it is not for sale as I needed one.
The RR was bought off ebay for $630 so it was a bargain.
So anybody whinging about the cost of a blinker switch go talk to a RR owner.

I have a P76 motor and a Hiace diesel 5 speed that I have been playing with putting in a LWB truck.
I want to put EFI on the motor but have had trouble with spacer plates for the inlet manifold and ignition issues and other problems.
The P76 V8 is 4.4 litres and is a 1970's technology motor and I am looking at a lot of money and time to get it going.
The Vitesse V8 is 4.2 litres and is a 1990's technology motor and I am looking at a little bit of money and time to get it going. The MOTEC has just been tuned!

I want a truck that comes in under the magic 1610kgs for rego. In NSW the CFLs just go over into the next weight class and cost a lot more for rego.

Now I just have to sort out some disc brakes for the CFL...
