not that easy, apparantly the dual wheel diff out of long wheel base wont fit short wheel base.maybe someone knows of another make that will fit.

They might not fit in a SWB van due to the wheel arches and chassis rails, but I thought all the cab/chassis models had the same width (narrower compared to SWB) chassis rails.

thought so myself but have found out that the position of springs and shocks are not as wide in the long wheel base.mike

you will need to change spring position. and inner guards. then the diff.. big job id say.

Hey Mike
How big are the wheel arches in the Camper, are they made of wood or steel ?
If the cab/chassis has the same width chassis rails as the LWB (which is narrower than the SWB) then the dually diffs should bolt in without to much drama, you may have to modify your arches though.
Ben do you have a LWB and Cab/Chassis to take messurments off ?

gotta ask, Why?
-
hi,because of it being a motorhome ,caravan type back ,and top heavy ,i had a scare awhile back on highway when rear tyre blew had no control over it ,went very close to rolling. so mainly for safety .;;mike
-
that makes sense,
Did it have LT tires?
-
had light truck tyres, thought they were in good condition, plenty of tread but then the back on it is quite heavy ,really over weight with singles about 300kgs over;;;mike

Will check it out for you, have both types of Beddies sitting here, will post back tomorrow. Bas

I'd measure for yourself if possible, plenty of times i've been told something will or won't fit ::).
Don't assume anything....
If the diff will fit between your rails then your away,
You will need to widen the arches and the inner arches (as ben said.)
Changing the spring mounts on the diff isn't a huge job but get someone qualified to do it..
assuming ;D that the spring mounts on the diff can be moved to the width of the rails
Or sell it and buy another one, but then you're passing on a problem to the next guy, which some people can do and i always struggle with

seems like to much trouble have to leave it as is and drive carefull
