Spoke to model shop in the USA who supply resin bodies or blanks of diffrent models about a bedford van body to go on a 1/24 or 1/18 kit.
He referred me to a bloke in Victoria who told me there was no such thing. I told him I could get a bulk order but he said he wasnt interested.
Sorry guys, I tried. :-\

Hey guys, i have a mate that deals with diecast, and i have spoken to biante and classic collectables, and they have all told me that there will NEVER be a diecast bedford van in large scale 1:18, and for only one reason. Licensing, and copyright, the people that own the copyright refuse to give licence to make them. The reason i know is that i spoke to my mate about the panelvan from mad max, same thing copyright, the bloody yanks own the rights to the mad max cars so thats that. But i will keep my ear to the ground and if i hear anything will let all know. If you have a look in my gallery you will see a 1:18 chev van my mate got for me, even those are as rare as, unless you get them from the states.

Hey George have you looked on UK ebay lots of 1/64 Bedfords maybe someone over there knows about 1/18 diecast Bedford? Allan

Hi Allan, i have a couple of the little 1:64 or matchbox size vans. The advice i have from my mate and the diecast guys is that Holden, Vauxhal dont have the rights to the bedfords anymore, the original owners sold the rights years ago, and those owners just have the paperwork sitting in a drawer somewhere, maybe one day they will get an offer they can't refuse. lol The same thing happened with the mad max cars. The yanks bought the rights to the Black interceptor, yellow pursuit and panelvan and so on, so it maybe a long time b4 we see some of them in diecast 1:18. I have a few of the mad max cars in my display case, but if you know your cars you can see they are knock offs, the interceptor has subtle little changes, the name is changed, and so on. But i have not given up the search for the bedford van.
