Ben you'll also need a radiator with an oil cooler or an external cooler. Tail shaft maybe different length. Also the xmember may need to be moved.
-
oh ofcourse.. i knew about the auto cooler, forgot thou lol
got a few tailshafts so one should fit..
damn hope the xmember doesnt have to be moved other wise im driving to sale to pick up another one of my beddies that is a manual so i can get the cable..

had to cut the exahst to get the trimatic in.. was wondering if anyone knows what it sounds like to have a twin system with 2 different mufflers??
or straight through on a 173 twin system? too loud or would it be ok? actually i had a carrolla without a muffler, was pretty lous and that was a 1.2 litre hy..
cause i might give it a go. may as well.. its cut at the moment.
cheers

did you change the bush in the rear of the crank before changing the flywheel?
a straight through exhaust on a 173 is no good, you need some back pressure on a holden 6. otherwise it will overfuel and run like crap, (and even worse with an auto) and you may do some
damage to your valves after a while too. they generally sound like shit open anyway. more of a tractor sound than a cool open exhaust note.
-
hey bren what does that bush actually do??
cause i pulled it out and and replaced it with the auto one that goes into the converter.. but i somehow thing that i should have left the bush in and put the converter ontop..
just dont tell me it centres the crankshaft and ill be happy..
cheers

the exahst sounds grous straight through also.. just a bit too loud.. so will do some mods to a sports muffler i have here.. like band a crowbar down the centre a few times to try and get the same note only a little quieter.. and a little back pressure for the valves bren cheers
oh this van is on gas.. will it still over fuel? can you explain why it over fuels and runs bad?

it centres the torque converter. if you've put the one from the auto in then you'll be right.
without the bush you'll get a bad vibration (sometimes not immediately) becasue the converter
wont sit in the centre.
if its on gas then i have no idea. but i doubt over fuelling would be a problem then... im not 100% sure how gas works.
