Title: need advice on dent

need helpfull advice on the dent i got when a sign was reversed into last night, do i cut n shut or tapp out n fill? id like to get a section to replace it but where?

How did it happen??? That's a real shame Lyndon... are you gutted?
I accidently clipped a concrete wall the other day and it scuffed my rear guard - I was gutted.

Hope you can beat it out without too much trouble.

you should be able to beat it out and then re-spray that section without too much effort.
Do you have a mate that works as a panel beater / paint shop?

Where abouts are you?

definitely don't cut it out. you would just make more problems for yourself.
should only take an afternoon to get back in to shape.

thanks Bren & others for your advice, ill knock it out from the onside & then fill it with top quality light weight filler in minumal amounts as possible.

one of the reasons i drive a beddie cause its real steel, just imagine if that was a high priced Tarago or similar, you coulda cut it out with a can opener and glued a bit of plastic over it  :D

or you could do what im doing at the moment, paint the whole car the flattest black you can mix up... and watch the dents just dissapear  :D

flat black is the best..

i rolled undercoated bits about 3 or 4 months ago on my black beast.. it was massive patchy back then.. now its not so bad. i make sure theres a bit of dirt on there all the time and everyone says good paint job!!

there only one thing better than flat black and thats what i`ve got covers dents rust stains and even where the bog falls out  ;D

painted over black acrylic spray/splatter white , splatter black , airbrush black lines , highlight with white airbrushing will cover every thing from stone chips to bird sh*t and dents . dents what dents? ;D

How many hours went into your paint job? Do you add to/change it regularly?
I like the wolf on the side...

If you were to pay someone to do what you've done how much would you be up for?

Would be cheaper to remove the dents I would think!  :o  ;)

it`s a bodgy job !! van was only suposed to last 6 months 3 years later i still driving it . took 4.5 hours to do whole paint job including wolves .  just did it in acrylic and wasn`t made to last although its easy to touch up and i`ve been thinking of painting the grill area and the roof repairs as looks like it might be awhile befor i get back into it (too many other things on my plate) .
