tidy very seventys.8k might be top dollar tho
-
$8000 and its only a six in it his got to be dreaming if it was an eight yeh could understand but six no way
-
iv sold a bedy for 8k with a six in it.mystic fantasy has a 6 and its worth than 8k i think it all depends on the quality of the van and what the buyer is prepared to pay.he says in his ad that it needs minor rust so to me it drops.
-
I just sent him a message and hopefully I'll get to take a look at it next Monday
-
make sure its got a hs diff .
-
probably doesnt need one with a 5 speed. but would still be good..
-
Hi Craig, I have never seen MYSTIC FANTASY in person, but i would have to say that from the pics i have seen, mystic would be worth 8+ compared to the one on ebay. I guess it depends on what people want, clean canvas or custom ready to drive.

Although the other way to look at it, and don't get me wrong, Mystic Fantasy is a gorgeous van but it is totally impractical for daily driver use or even regular use on a weekend. If I'm spending that kind of money then I want to drive it.
-
i agree i still think in todays market its what the buyer is prepared to pay.
If i went to look at a 6cyl bed with no rust and painted well and had no side windows hs diff he may well get me to pay 8k for it.
In fact i cant remember the last time i went to see a finished van for sale.
-
james the owner of mystic now uses it as a fairly daily driver by the way..
-
Bet he wipes his feet before he gets in... ;)

I was talking to someone the other day about my van, and i said to them, I would never spend the money on my van that i am spending if i was to tow it to a show. I f i am going to have a van, then i want to drive it and enjoy. In my case it will be a weekend driver, and every now and then i may go to a doctors appointment in it. These days i dont do much driving, when i bought my new landcruiser with 30ks on the clock, it took me 3 yrs to get 10,000 on the clock, fairdinkim. I do 60ks a week on a good week. My van may get more milage, going to shows and the like.

I look forward to seeing your finished van george.
How long till it be done 12months appox?
-
That beddy is meant to be in Ballarat, but l cant say l've seen it
-
Hey Rubman, no all going well I hope to be on the road again later this year, hopefully 6months tops, but as we all know, you never know what you will find as you get into it. When you are dealing with outside trades and money, look at last week for me, instead of dropping $600 on my van, i had to replace a TV anntena, repair water heater, and repair my water pump, we are on tank water so no choice. So that hurt a few things with the van. But i am not discouraged, my van will run again this year.

Good onya George...Keep ya eye on the prize buddy ;D :D ;D ;D

I just sent him a message and hopefully I'll get to take a look at it next Monday
did you get to look at it, is it worth 8k to you? cause when all is said and done if you like it and think it is value for money buy it, otherwise life could be full of regrets, coulda shoulda woulda!

Hey George My Coaster took me 6months to do & I thought I could doo the Bedy in about the same time That was 2years ago & still not finished Cheers Reid
-
hey resto, we started my van back in may last year, and we are doing everything, all new nuts, bolts, wiring, everything. So far i think the mechanicals will be the hardest, but easiest, i thought my rear brakes and power steer would take forever, but they both just bolted in, surprise. Look i have no doubt i will run over by a couple of months, but i can live with that, considering i am doing a complete custom /show /over nighter van, and the one thing i have said is, if it takes a week more and i miss a show, so be it, i am not taking any short cuts, there will always be another show, but i will have to look at the short cut for a long time.
