Title: Steering spline size
Post by: Hobbo888 on March 01, 2010, 11:22:28 AM
Hi Buga's. Can anyone tell me what size spline my 75 CFS has? My wheel has seen it's last days and I am looking to replace it with an aftermarket wheel. Thanks ;D

I have tried all avenues but noone knows what size fits! I heard a rumour that the early Ford (70's - 80's) fit. Anyone?

apparently the XD wheel fits but you have to modify for indicator return.
As Ben said a boss kit is the best way to go!

XD wheel needs to be broached to fit , it is slightly too small (same no of splines, but needs about 7 strokes of a fine sharp triangular file between each spline) so get a boss and be safe.

The beddy wheels can be repaired, there is a steel ring, and it is only the plastic that shrinks and cracks (POR do a steering wheel repair kit)

don't know if it is for sale here though
