Hi Guys, I'm hoping to get some advice, I was thinking about fitting a couple of sunroofs into my swb van. But have been told you weaken the structual integrity of the roof, also have heard that with the ribs in the roof the risk of a 100% seal is hard. Any opinions to help me make a dicision ?

I don't see a problem at all.
The Sun roofs in my other two vans never leaked, and as long as the cross ribs are still there it should be strong enough.
I'm thinking of welding a Jap electric roof into mine, which will mean cutting a cross rib and re- welding some strength underneath it.
I did this with my last van, but that was LWB and very tricky because of the roof slope.
A SWB should be a breeze.

ive had 2 vans with sun roofs abd 2 without..
they look cool in the summer. it shouldnt be too hard to get it to seal up ok with the right product.
my advice. if you got one cool.. if you dont have one stay with it..
the novilty sorda wears off reasonably quickly and it doesnt bother you..

I wouldn't mind putting one in one day.... but i assure you i will be welding in little gussetts to make the roof flat befroe I start..... I'd even go to the extent of finding a factory one with drains in it just to keep any water under control :-\
Good luck
