CF-UK has a very good article with photos on how to fit a 4 cylinder Vauxhall turbo, but why you would bother beats me.
Yes you are right. If one is going to the trouble of fitting a different motor/gearbox, then you may as well put your dream unit in.
A BMW 2.8 would be very nice!

It's simple enough, but yes, a lot of work to fit a different motor and gearbox.

fitting the chev in  is a fairly staight foward engine exchange, if your mechanicaly minded. The engine bolts to same mounts but you do have to use either the mount adapter of a hk holden chev to hq holden chev or after market adapter. rear crossmember has to be modified or made, same as tailshaft. The rest has to be cut or bashed for clearance, then rewire to suit. now call the engineers and be very calm as they will stress you to the max. and don't forget to change the exhaust, radiator and the lovly braking system to match your new horse power to match ;D ;D ;D all in all, not a week end job, but worth while when its completed ;)

how long you recon it would take rossie? 6 weeks?

i pulled a 400 small block out replaced it with a 307. had quite a bit of swapping over, some modifying of parts some strengthening of engine mounts and it took me 2 weeks!!!!

yeah your about right Ben, but it depends on how many beers or are we treating it like a pit crew exersice. It's one of the things l do for a living ;D
Doing it for your self always takes longer, changing a motor for a custmer takes a day, for my self a week and l get the same result. the bubble and strife thinks its a ploy to hide from her ::) ::)
