best to make your own custom stuff.. make what you want out of cardboard first to give you an idea of what it will look like. then either use wood and bog and whatever else. take fibreglass moulds and make fibreglass ones or make up some steel ones, cut slits in the arch and pull it out to the right shape your after, weld sections in and bog the rest..

same for fibreglass front spoiler but with steel front would be a little bit more difficult.

cheers ben

I had a look at that once many years ago and for the amount of stuffing around you would have to do to alter them and then make them look any good you would be better off starting from scratch.

Mine is (or was) a facelift CF.

The facelift CF and CF2 are cosmetically the same.

Hey guys, can I throw my 2cents worth in, I am getting ready to start my flared guards in the next couple of weeks, I looked at all options, fibreglass, aftermarket plastic bolt on's and steel, and concluded that after paying lots for and modifying, it was going to be easier to start from scratch and fabricate in steel. We will be fabricating a lot of parts from raw steel, my new side mirrors will be another thing. There are lots of choices to choose from, but I could not find anything, right shape, size or design, so knowing what I want, I decided to just build my own mirrors, and incorporate everything I want in them, time consuming yes, but at least I will be totally happy showing off my van on show day. At the end of the day if you want a certain look then it may be a case of building it from scratch. The inside is a different story, a lot of the parts I will be cheating and just buy the fibreglass parts from ben, this will save me weeks of fabricating, but I will get the look I want. So project cf, good old steel maybe the way to go.

Will do john, I hope to be posting most of this build in the next few months, I just want to keep some of my one off custom bits under raps for now untill I unveil the van in full. But yes we ended up having to hand build the mirriors from scratch, mainly because I was so picky, and could not get all the little bits into one mirror from an aftermarket product. I can promise that there will be a lot of one off cutom bits on my van, should keep people looking and talking for a while, then people can copy my van all they want.

customizing is also kind of an addiction - there is always something else to change/modify
