Hi All,
Joe at JB Auto has pretty much anything you could need for your Bedford CF or Ford Transit, both new and secondhand parts on offer. Prices are reasonable and friendly service. He is not an online person so am posting an ad on his behalf because he has helped me out a lot.
He is on Bennett Street in Dandenong, number is 9792-5000. Doesn't always get to the phone but worth persisting as he has a lot of good stuff that is hard to find. Or just drop by his yard, normal business hours M-F and usually Saturday too. He does mechanical work also, 33 years of experience working with these vans. Free stand-up comedy routine with every consultation... !

sorry, that one confused me??????
Who is honest and why is that bad?
I've dealt with JB a few times and he's great as a last resort, and if you know what you're after,
but reports vary, and you are buying 30 year old parts - Caveat emptor
-
What i meant to say is that j.b. done something to me that cost me a lot of money many years ago.
About $2000,and he thought it was funny (j.b.)so i have not dealt with him since.
So now i buy my spares off ben.
Sorry for the confusion,im still angry about it.

no worries, just clarifying.
Have heard similar before but my dealings (few) have been ok.

i think we may be talking about 2 different supplyers?? im not 100% sure

Just to add his mobile number is 0427 792 003 if you have problems with the landline. He also has Bedfords and Transits for sale.
Personally have no issues with his parts/work, always positive. The fact someone on this thread owes him money underlines his v generous nature and is not uncommon. Probably too generous as it probably bites him at times, when people take a long time to pay or are unable to at all - Hunterbynature is right though, never too late to put it right and he is not a grudge bearer in my experience.

Is this the same guy, Joe Pace from Auto Cables ( www.autocables.com.au (http://www.autocables.com.au) ) ordered some weathersheilds off him a month ago but haven't got them yet. Came across as a nice guy though emails.

The fact someone on this thread owes him money
just wanted to clear this up.. kirk doesnt owe him money. he lent 4 standard bedford rims off him and paid a deposit of $250 for them and hasnt taken them back yet after a very long time.
kirk why dont you just give him a call and touch base with him? nothing worse than knowing you have unfinished business with someone..

best to have all the options you can get for parts and just don't pay untill you get them unless the person is well trusted.

Hey All, I have just bought a set of weathershields from this guy, I rang him on a saturday morning, paid by c/c and had them in my drive way tuesday by courier, so thanks to the guys here for putting me in touch with him, I had been looking for the shields for years.

I got a pair from Auto Cables, www.autocables.com.au (http://www.autocables.com.au) took a little while to get them here due to a mix up on orders, but they are supper wide and fit around the whole window, could not have asked for a better pair.
